WAYAG – RAJA AMPAT PAPUA

Raja Ampat is now one of the few areas in the world to hold two UNESCO international titles, having previously achieved Global Geopark status in 2023.

The Raja Ampat Biosphere Reserve covers an area of approximately 135,000 square kilometers with over 610 islands, although only 34 of them are inhabited.

Located at the heart of the Coral Triangle, this region is home to over 75 percent of the world’s coral species, more than 1,320 types of coral fish, and five species of rare sea turtles, including the critically endangered hawksbill turtle.
